Solutions

Approach from the different side

During organization of the Grand Prix 2.0 16 we faced a big challenge – to surprise the attendees in the location they had already known. We gave up the mill-run thinking about the stage and the narrative of the show and decided to re-create the space where the products were to be presented to the customers. Taking advantage of the potential of the location, we moved the audience to the balconies surrounding the hall on two levels and turned the surface of the floor into a place to showcase the full range of model Mercedes-Benz. In this way, visitors could watch the unique show from above, not as usually from the zero level.

We also thought about an independent visual creation for each of the thematic areas, for example Smart cars

presented as Pacman on a huge board from the game, AMG cars seen on a dynamic race track, SUV cars filmed crossing the wasteland and limousines driving up to hotel carparks, right at the hotel’s red carpets. Thanks to the use of several cameras, close-ups of the details of cars could be seen on a large format screen, hung at the top of the three meters tall stage tower.  The innovative setting of the event was designed using Media Server d3 4x2pro – the new system on Polish market. In addition, it was supported by the second mixer Chistine Vista Spyder X20-1608. This ensured perfect and smooth realization of the complex show.

Admirable effect

During the 8-hour presentation 190 people gathered on the balconies admired projection of images displayed on the floor of the hall. The dimensions of the images were 17×30 meters and they were synchronized with dynamic demonstrations of 15 car models, some of which were presented in Poland for the first time. To successfully carry out the event a total of 5000 kg of equipment suspended from the ceiling, 2 km of cabling and 9 projectors generating 134 000 ANSI lumens were used.

These enabled projecting images on the total surface of 555.8 m².
