Brief

Brief

For years, the Maison Margiela fashion house has been known for its original and timeless creations. This is also the case with the REPLICA perfume line inspired by the designer’s clothing and accessories collection. For the brand’s image-building activities, we created 90m2 POP UP, which was hosted at the Westfield Arkadia Shopping Centre in Warsaw from 20 June to 5 July.

Solutions

The space alluded to daydreams, transience and memories. Like the scents of these perfumes. The fifteen fragrance blends are designed to evoke pleasant moments – a Sunday morning, a day at the beach or a vibrant night at a jazz club.

The fragrance bottle and the label itself look as if they escaped from a pharmacy shelf, so we decided to use white raw concrete on the walls and finish the area with the colour white. The dreams were mirrored by hanging delicate tulles that emphasised the fleeting nature of the moment, and behind them the image of our memory emerged: visions of Maison Margiela were depicted on LED screens – daydreams relating to the chosen fragrance.

The four main fragrances promoted in the zone – Beach Walk, Jazz Club, Lazy Sunday Morning and The Fireplace – were embodied by white concrete sculptures – symbols of the respective fragrance: a chaise longue, a huge cushion, a fireplace and a piano.

During a dedicated event for journalists and influencers, attendees could take a unique portrait against the ocean, enjoy a drink straight from a jazz club in Brooklyn, sit in front of the fireplace with a mug of coffee, whose aroma combined chestnut and woody accords, and eat a delicious breakfast prepared by David Gaboriaud (creative director of Belvedere Catering by Design, host of the TV programmes ‘David in Europe’ and ‘Battle of the Flavours’ on Kitchen+).

Visitors to the centre were also able to experience a range of perfumes, as well as scented candles, which are part of the Maison Margiela collection. At the request of customers who purchased a product from the perfumery, Beauty Advisors carried out personalisation of the label.
