ADAMED SmartUP – implemented by the Adamed Foundation since 2014, was created to support the development of talented young people from all over Poland. The most important part of this initiative is the scholarship programme and the online platform www.adamedsmartup.pl. The challenge for the agency was to reach an unusual target group, namely talented students with a passion for science and natural sciences, and to encourage them to participate in the ADAMED SmartUP scientific and educational programme.

Communication with recipients is initiated through online channels, with the internet being the first point of contact with young people. Those interested in participating in the programme face the challenge of solving scientific puzzles in a special alternative reality game. The best are asked to send their applications and receive invitations to individual interviews with members of the Scientific Council. Fifty of them participate in a science camp, after which the most committed receive the title of grand prize winner and benefit from individual educational consultations for the next 10 months. After a year, three scholarship holders are selected from among the ten winners.
As part of the ongoing expansion of the programme, the Foundation has established cooperation with the Warsaw University of Technology, with which it organises weekend SmartUP Academy workshops. The strength of the programme lies in its strong relationships with institutional and scientific partners, as well as with ADAMED SmartUP graduates. The durability of these contacts is evidenced by the participants’ involvement in the Roadshow, i.e. demonstration lessons promoting the programme in schools, but also encouraging young people to set themselves ambitious challenges.
An important part of the programme is also the www.adamedsmartup.pl platform, which provides useful information for young science enthusiasts, including educational videos with experiments, sample lesson plans, recommended science portals and information about studying at Polish and foreign universities. The ADAMED SmartUP channels on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are also a source of knowledge for teenagers.

During the eight editions of the programme, we have achieved the following results:
The project has also received remarkable press coverage. From October 2014 to August 2022, thousands of publications about the programme appeared in national, regional, educational and medical media.
